## Description

TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro Smartwatch

Review: What a great watch. I am using Samsung Galaxy phone. The watch is very easy to setup and pair with my phone. In terms of looks, I really do think this watch is one of the best looking, if not the best looking, smart watch in the market as of today. Depends on how it is being used, I notice the battery life could last really long time. Up to 4 days on a single 30 minutes full charge. It is always great to have ultra low power (ULP) option especially when I am planning to take few days journey away from home. Leaving the vibration on and with all sensors and aod activated, it could easily last for over 2 days. Coming with sapphire crystal glass, it is a lot more durable against accidental scratches. The design of the bezel makes it feel solid, robust without giving away high-end look and feel. It looks great in both corporate setting as well as outdoor/casual setting. The fact that the watch is made to US-MIL-STD 810H standards and is certified with 5 ATM water resistance gives me a good piece of mind when wearning the watch for sport activies, swim or kayaking. It also comes with water draining feature allowing me to take extra precautionary steps ensuring no water is trapped inside the mechanic of my watch. The built-in TicHealth app appears to be very neat well organised and comprehensive. All the workout stats are easy to access and are accessible from a single location. Got a map built-in to track the route I took during exercise. When I am rushing to work in the morning, the watch automatically recognise changes in my health stats. I like the original strap that came with the watch. The design looks great and feel comfy around my arm. Certainly does not look cheap. Performance wise, it is very snappy and responsive. I did not feel any noticeable lag while interacting with the watch. Overall, I think Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro is a great watch. It tick all my boxes on performance, built quality, design and, most importantly, its distinguishing feature for having ultra low power option so I do not have to worry wearning a watch without any battery left while away from home.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review
*by P***. on 6 October 2024*

Having owned and used both the TicWatch Pro 5 and the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, I was eager to see how the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro would stack up. Here’s my personal take on this latest iteration from Mobvoi. [Design and Build Quality] The first thing that struck me about the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is its sleek and sturdy design. The watch is crafted from 7000-series aluminum and high-strength nylon with fiberglass, giving it a premium feel. The Obsidian and Slate color options are both stylish, but I opted for the Slate design, which in my opinion looks sharp and stands out without being too flashy. The "fluororubber" watch band is exceptionally comfortable, and I wish I could purchase extra bands as spares. The build quality is top-notch, with sapphire crystal replacing Gorilla Glass, which has already proven its durability by surviving some rough treatment without significant damage. The slightly raised bezel and the cool-looking red ring on the crown add a touch of elegance, making it look like a premium timepiece. Using the rotating crown is very satisfying and haptic feedback adds to it. [Display and Dual-Screen Setup] The dual-display system of the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is one of its strongest features. The OLED display is vibrant, responsive, and bright enough to be easily readable even in direct sunlight. The ultra-low-power LCD display, while not as high-resolution, is perfect for its use case, providing essential information like time, date, heart rate, and battery level without draining the battery. This setup has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to glance at important information without fully activating the watch. This is a unique feature of TicWatch for sure. [Performance and Software] Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro delivers a smooth and glitch-free experience. I've found the performance to be very powerful, handling everything from switching between apps to tracking workouts seamlessly. Although it currently runs on Wear OS 3.5, recent updates have brought it to Wear OS 4, which has enhanced its functionality, efficiency and performance. I've experienced a couple of firmware updates with TicWatch, which all went smoothly and added new features while fixing some minor issues I encountered. [Battery Life] The battery life of the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is impressive. I've managed to get up to 4-5 days of battery life in "Smart Mode" and significantly more in "Essential Mode." This endurance is a double-edged sword; while it's great to think less about charging, it's easy to forget and not have enough juice for sports activities. However, the watch charges quickly, with a 30-minute charge providing around 60% battery life, which is more than enough for a couple of days. [Health and Activity Tracking] The health and activity tracking features on the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro are excellent. The watch includes accelerometer, gyro sensor, heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, skin temperature sensor, off-body sensor, barometer, and compass! I've found the sensor accuracy to be very good, especially after proper calibration (don't ignore it). The variety of workout options is sufficient. The embedded activity tracking apps integrate well with Google Health services, providing maximum functionality and use of sensor data. I prefer using TicWatch native apps and synchronize the health data with 3rd party apps. [Functional Design Improvements] One of the most significant improvements for me is the functional design of the watch. The rotating crown is a joy to use, allowing me to navigate through menus and health reports without obscuring the screen. The colorful backlight during workouts is a nice touch, and the haptics are strong and responsive. These small changes have made a big difference in my daily use of the watch. [Conclusion] Overall, I am very satisfied with the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro. The combination of its great build quality, high-end functional materials, and long battery life makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich Wear OS smartwatch. While it may not be a revolutionary update, the refinements and improvements over its predecessors are significant. If you're considering this watch, I recommend taking the time to get used to its features and settings. Proper sensor calibration and resetting the watch after firmware updates have been crucial for maintaining optimal performance and stability. With its recent update to Wear OS 4, the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is a great value, and I hope Mobvoi will continue to improve the apps and release future OS and feature upgrades. For now, it's a watch that I wear daily and highly recommend.
