### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Holds it's own against expensive competition

This is my new go-to dish. It is so versatile, it now lives on my stove top along with my kettle. Follow care instructions for enameled cast iron, and this will be a piece your grandchildren argue over long after you're gone. It is obviously a heavy piece, and I fumbled it a couple of times while washing without any damage to the enamel. The little bumps on the inside of the lid are perfect for both braising and making rice dishes, and I did not have the issue of a gap between the lid...I believe it is made that way in case you need a tilted lid for simmering, as you cannot safely tip such a heavy lid without damaging enamel. There is a mark on the side to align it. Without the lid it is ideal for frittatas or anything else you'd use a skillet for, as well as baking. I used an infrared thermometer to test heat distribution in oil, and it heats exactly as evenly as the high dollar French brand. If I didn't already have a set of clad cookware, I would buy every piece this company offers.

Versatile for the stove and oven, I have a propane range and my food cooks really fast in this pan. Sometimes I can't get it cleaned all the way so I use Joe Glow / Bar keep cleaner and soak it a bit and it takes the residue right out and makes the pan bright white again.It is very heavy and I think I will have it forever!

I love this! It is very heavy which can make if difficult to use, but I have used it a number of times from stove top to oven then carried it to the table to serve and it works great!
