Little bit of a catch going from handle to bolster and the spine, once you get past the rounded bolster, is pretty sharp and could definitely benefit from being rounded off a bit. It is a little bit handle-heavy, with the balance point being a bit back of the bolster, so not ideal for a pinch grip. The blade profile is pretty much all belly, so appropriate for rocking, but not terribly useful for chopping or push-cutting. Out of the box edge was acceptable, though nothing extraordinary and seemed to be somewhere around a 500 grit, so not terribly refined. Edge retention was pretty much "meh", but it did sharpen pretty quickly on a Shapton Glass 500, which wound up giving it a better edge than out of the box.All that being said, it's a functional and good looking knife for cheap.
