Is it pre-shrunk? Does it need to be "seasoned" by rubbing flour on/in it** A: No Don’t know but it doesn’t matter Yes, but you shake it out and remove loose flax fibers I love mine. It allows me to keep the baguettes “rounder” than “oval” shaped, and I think they rise better when nestled up next to each other. If you don’t like them, they’re not that expensive, but you can send yours to me and know it will have a happy home. **Q: Where is this made? Does it come from China?** A: There is no writing on the product. Apart from that, what difference does it make? People in China, when they are eating their pork dishes, don't ask, "Is this from the United States." **Q: Would this work well for making potica dough or bread?** A: I have not made any sweet breads using the couche to rise, but nothing in the recipe makes me worry that it would not be fine. I would just be sure to flour the couche well before the final raise. Worst case it may get sticky and have to be cleaned?
