It's very sturdy and comes with and extra screen but haven't needed it yet, though I have only been making it for a couple months now. Word to the wise, go easy on the amount of large grind you use. The conversion they use for how much coffee to add is very strong and gave me a painful stomach for 3 days it was so strong! I just use 2 rounded scoops and it's the perfect cup for me! The highest mark reads 800ml (i.e., 27 OZ) but you can go higher than that.The three filters work well -- I put in Hannaford ground coffee (which looks more like medium grind rather than the recommended coarse grind), and there is still NO coffee grounds leaking into my coffee! The filters are easy to take off for a wash.
