It's playable after a fair bit of effort to try and learn/remember the controls for all of the different moves has without knowing this it's pretty hard to get any good results. The down side is if you play against a mate, you can't pick up the controller and just be able to play it. It takes time to learn. In general it is a good game and is one to get for a basketball view on the ps3. Review: One of the best sports games ever - This really is an immense game. The presentation is fantastic and the "My Player" mode is, in my opinion, better than the similar modes in Pro-Evo and FIFA (I know they're a different sport but the idea of playing as one player is the same). It's that good I've never even played any of the other modes! (Apart from an exhibition or two to practice the controls.) Now this may be my geeky side coming out here, but it's that good and I'm so keen see how my player stats match up to real-life players that I play all the matches in real-time, i.e. full 48 minute games (that being said, due to rotations and the fact I'm still a novice I only get about 20 minutes court time and you can skip the time when you're not playing). I hit a buzzer beater in my last game and giddily had to tell my work mates about it the next day! Also because I share my surname with an NBA player then the commentators will say my name. So when I get a highlight reel showing my best moments in a game with the commentators explaining how "Griffin's team-mates will be delighted with his production off the bench", I must admit to getting a slight tingle in my trousers. Especially the new "My Player"-mode, which I played a very lot so far, is really fun, but unfortunately it has some weak points. E.g. the stats of other teams are computed for full time matches (4 x 12 min.), but the matches with your team always go over 5 minutes a quarter. So it's really hard to stand out in the league stats for your player or your teammates if they gather like 20 points a game (which is really, really good), when other good players make 30 points a game or more. Result: it gets harder for you to enter All-Star-teams or get individual player awards. But nevertheless this game makes a lot of fun.
