I had some skepticism about its effectiveness and durability at first.But it does seem to work to reduce thick skin on my feet. It is not a raspy file that removes lots of skin. It wears the skin down slowly but steadily. After one use I could tell it worked, but several were right to get my feet where I wanted them.I think it is more of a daily or periodically used scrubber.
