These curtains have helped a lot in reducing the amount of heat. They're not pretty, but the quality is there. They feel more like industrial curtains you'd find in a commercial setting. After 3 years, I tried to wash them, the backing peeled off. They're not washable (perhaps when they're new?) For the price, having lasted 3 years is good enough. After over 3 years of cooking in the sun, the 2 pairs I have in the master bedroom are due for a replacement. The curtains themselves look brand new but the backing that's continually exposed to the sun is pulverizing and has become a power which can easily be wiped off. The curtains look great, but they are no longer opaque, light comes through when the sun is shining. Since the main purpose for me is the thermal ability, I need to replace them with fresh ones. This has not happened to all the curtains, only the ones that face the sun continually for half the day. My biggest complaint would be that they aren’t easy to steam wrinkles out so they don’t look as nice as more expensive curtains. We are keeping them because they really do block light really well.
