Review: The food is great. The seller is price gouging due to backordered items by this brand. - Dottie loves it. The seller charged over $60 more than it retails for locally.
Review: Great food for weight maintenance - My English Springer Spaniel had battled weight gain for years. I put him on wet food (low carb) and he'd lose and be at his perfect weight. I'd then try to save some bucks and add in dry kibble and his weight would go up. I didn't love the canned foods and they were messy and took up a lot of space. This food works perfectly for him (though it does not save money). He loves it but that is not necessarily a glowing recommendation because he loves all food. And I do mean ALL food. I do add some frozen green beans to help fill him up and feed the recommended amount - but watered down to fill him up and keep him hydrated. How I prepare: Each dinnertime I make two bowls up with water and frozen green beans and then put them in the fridge. They keep fine (and the beans thaw) until the next day's feedings and he doesn't mind it cold at all. It also keeps it easy to feed him - I can just have the kids feed him if I'm not home because all they have to do it pull it out of the fridge and give it to him, It really only takes a few minutes each day to prepare and imho is easier than canned food. This is top quality dog food and it doesn't come cheap but my dog is healthy and happy and I'm so glad I found it. I love that I can get it next day from desertcart and it doesn't take up my whole pantry to keep a good supply on hand. One word of caution if you have a finicky dog - try the samples first from honest kitchen's website to see if they'll eat it before you invest in a big box.
