That's how a child with a 15" inseam will fit the Gecko with a 160mm seat post dropped completely into the seat tube. Once kids get more comfortable on two wheels, they'll want to sit on the saddle with the balls of their feet on the ground.  Thus, a confident rider with a 15" inseam and a first-time rider with a 17" inseam may both feel comfortable with the same set-up.    Go Ride Hard. ## Features - The ideal first pedal bike for young riders. - Best fit for riders 36 to 42 inches tall. This makes it impossible to pedal the bike unless the seat is higher.I’m going to adjust it to see if our older son will be able to ride out ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great choice for the very young cyclist! *by E***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2018* Ordered this bike as a third birthday gift for my little one, who had been riding a balance bike almost daily for about a year. I thought it would take a few weeks for him to warm up to it, but within 24 hours of assembly, he was riding down the block and stopping on a dime! Things I like most about this bike: assembly was easy; the bike is very light, the handbrakes fit little hands perfectly, and the design and style is beautiful. I think it is one of the only bikes you can get in this size (I got the 12”) that is a freewheel bike with no training wheels and so light. We are very happy with this bike. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality *by D***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2018* Birthday present for my 3 year old. Husband put it together easily. Its heavy, but my son doesn't really need to pick it up. His inseam is 16", so I got this small bike (which is the same size as his Yvolution balance bike) so he would easily transition. Because of the 12" tires, he has to pedal a lot. But he picked it up day 1! I'm just worried it's too small and too heavy. The larger 14" bikes had minimum inseam of 17", but in hindsight I would have gone with that and just let him work a little harder at learning. Its a great bike, very sturdy and good quality. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/70098216-cleary-bikes-gecko-single-speed-12-inch-freewheel-youth-bike](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/70098216-cleary-bikes-gecko-single-speed-12-inch-freewheel-youth-bike) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
