It holds all my essential "stuff" quite handily: passports, car titles, wills and so on.A friend had a stroke a few years back and his sister and I had a real challenge getting to his safety deposit box while he was hospitalized. She had to get an attorney involved to get access to the box. The attorney advised NOT putting wills and advance directives in a safety deposit box due to the access issues.I am trusting that should we have a fire this device will work as advertised and testified to by other owners. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong chest- cheap lock- good investment *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2015* Overall, I'm very happy with the product. I really like the straps which allows you to store more things in the lib portion of the chest. The lock looks a little cheap but it doesn't matter. If someone want to steal it, they can just pick it up and go. It does have some weight to it. No Handle.My main concern is the chest is fire and waterproof. We put 5 passports, important documents, cds, dvds and some other things in it.In my opinion, this is not a safe and should not be treated as such. My mom got me one just like it when I was in college and I have used it ever since. I wanted another for my office, and was disappointed at all the negative reviews for the tops results. So I looked up the one I had at home and voila much better reviews somehow. I only use it to protect documents, and I have never tested it, but I have confidence it will be effective if the time ever comes, which I hope it doesn't.
