You 'might' be able to sharpen an edge temporarily but it won't hold. **Q: Is it stainless steel?** A: No. It is mild steel. Decorative use only. Caution should still be something to have while handling it **Q: If you threw it at a piece of wood would it stick or break?** A: It’s pretty pointy so if the piece of wood is soft then there’s a chance it would stick, but most of the time it would break.
