I bought the lined version to keep my old boy warmer. He absolutely loves this kennel and is always inside it, sleeping, birdwatching or just enjoying the outdoor air. Plenty of room for a 6kg cat to turn and change position. I added a self-warming blanket in winter, which worked well. The lining has washed with no shrinkage or damage. The single negative is that it gets very hot in the UK summer, so needs to go in shade then, with water nearby. In winter, I now place cardboard between the plastic kennel and the lining, plus a self-heating pad to make a cosy little den. My previous cat refused to go near it, but that’s the idiosyncratic nature of felines. I recommend this product. The main body of the den is rather too small for our large cat. The lip at the bottom of the entrance is far too low; it rains in. The roof extension would be even better if it were longer.
