**Q: How many seeds**
A: 50 seeds

**Q: How do you start these seeds?**
A: I believe these have a very hard seed pod so try nicking them with a knife or nail file and then wrap them in a very wet paper towel for a couple of days before potting.  Plant them in small plastic pots with good soil and keep the soil very moist.  You can cover the pots with plastic wrap to help retain moisture.  Place them in a bright location.  Once the pods sprout and the plants are hardy enough, transfer them to a sunny garden spot.

**Q: I've planted all of these inside to start, but not sure how long they take to germinate, since most are smashed a bit in the usps sorting machine?**
A: I soaked my seeds for 24-36 hours and then planted them. Only one has germinated so far and it took two weeks. Still waiting for the others to start.

It is not Sichuan Pepper seed, do not buy it. Sichuan Pepper seed should be black, but the item being selling is not. The picture is right, you can see the black seed. Ask the seller to provide the black seed picture if you want to buy.

It was packed nicely, but the seeds were flat shaped and fresh, some of them were covered with red wax, they don’t look like the peppercorn seeds. They are maybe red pepper seeds?

### ⭐ The seeds didn't germinate

After a couple of weeks the seeds had not germinated so I went back to the package instructions and read that the seeds need to be over-wintered in order to germinate. I think the vender should over-winter the seeds themselves so that they are ready to grow when the consumer buys them.
