6 weeks old ... and the entire handlebar ripped right off of the base ...
- sigh -6 weeks old with less than 3 hours riding time and the entire handlebar tears right off of the base, in the middle of a busy crosswalk. Thankfully I felt it and stepped off a second beforehand! I call them up to ask what could cause it and they told me, "I Don't Know." I'm given instructions on how to put the bar back onto the frame. When I asked if this will fix it so that the scooter doesn't disintegrate on me mid-ride, I'm told... "I Don't Know".The first step is removing a screw at the hinge. Too bad this aluminum and/or zinc screw is machine tightened so that when you try to remove it, the whole things strips. You would think a steel frame would have a steel screw, especially when I paid $300.Now what? While I wait to see how this Warranty works out I'm back to my 2 year old bumpy Razor that still works well enough. Before this, I would have given it a 5 star and really enjoyed it up until I could have crash landed in front of a line of cars making a right hand turn.PS: I also have an office full of people making fun of the fact that it's "Made In America" and that my Razor was made in "China."PPS: I will update this review after it gets fixed in a timely manner and have a better update.------------ Current Update --------------If you run into an issue and try to email them, do not be surprised if you are ignored. I have not had any luck getting them to respond, resolve issues or honor their "Lifetime Warranty." Even after calling them, confirming that they received my previous emails and being assured that I was at the top of the Customer Service list; the customer service manager still ignores issues with the product that are fairly simple to resolve.I even offered to mail in the kickped scooter in the original box. Yes I still have it because this scooter is so new and barely has 1 1/2 hours of riding time on it before it broke into two pieces! :XThe product and reviews look good. I did extensive research before purchasing. I remember seeing one comment from another online post that warned about their customer support and service when there is a warranty issue. I was hoping that it was just one person's experience, but apparently this is how their business is ran.I am now escalating this to both Amazon and my credit card company in hopes that this will still get resolved quickly.

Not for you if you have knee problems.
I just got this a week ago. I bought a scooter after talking to other adults who all SWEAR a scooter changed their lives. I see a lot of adults carrying scooters on the subway. One woman told me she was on her third one and takes it on all her int'l travels. my neighbor claims it changed his life.Pros: NYCE bike store is super cool. Go there if you can. Tiny store with great stuff, great staff. They import great bikes from Europe. The scooter is super solid, well built , wide tires, nice ride. The brake is on the back which is good so you don't go flying over the handlebars. The wide tires won't go into small cracks and flip you over the scooter. You still have to be careful, though. the scooter comes in 2 sizes : Medium and Tall.Cons: I am surprised at how taxing this is on my knees. If you have troublesome knees, you might want to seriously rethink this idea. The scooter is heavy. When you fold it up and carry it, it gets heavy fast. Also, slinging it over your shoulder will dirty your clothes. carry it sideways.Seeing as I ride this on the sidewalk, I am finding other pedestrians get in the way and that slows down the ride to the point that I may as well be walking.I only just got this scooter so I am still getting used to it but I am NOT seeing the life changing part of this at all.PS: buy a helmet. Better safe than sorry.

A Lot of Fun!
I've been procrastinating about this purchase for about a year and finally pulled the trigger. Main reason for the purchase was to have fun with my daughters at the park with there Razor scooters and bikes. I gotta say this thing is a lot of fun. Makes me feel like a kid again, and my kids love me riding around with them. The more you ride it, the better you get with stability and carving turns, etc. The rubber tires really stick well to the pavement as I've made some very tight turns while leaning hard at a higher speed and it held on without the wheels slipping from under me. If you've been thinking about this item, just do it.As far as the size, I am 6" feet tall exactly, and got the taller model which fits me just right. I was very unsure about the size initially and didn't know which one to go for. But I followed the sizing suggestion by NYCe Wheels and I'm glad I did. My only gripe would be the price. It's a very nicely built scooter, but $229 is a bit high for this thing. I think anywhere between $150 and $175 would've been a lot more justified. Regardless I don't regret the purchase because riding around with the kids is priceless.A couple things to note. Check if the nuts for the fender brake are tightened from underneath, as mine were not. I noticed after my first ride that the fender was wobbling and had to check it out. Also, the rear tire spun much better than the front. The front tire barely spun 3 or 4 revolutions when spun by hand. I found that if you loosen the nut on the wheel no more than a quarter turn, it solved the problem. Again, I would just loosen it a quarter turn at a time, then check it. If still not spinning well, then loosen another quarter turn and so on. But definitely DO NOT loosen it too much to where the wheel has play, as it could be a safety issue. Anyway, hope this review helps.
