Hold the brush tip under warm water and gently bend the brush tip. It will quickly soften.- You draw up the water into them by putting them in a glass of water and twisting the end (or hold it tilted sideways with the tip in your hand under the faucet and twist the end)- Use the brown brushes for inks and the white for paints- The instructions are all in chinese, so if you're new to these brushes, may want to google instructions... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adequate *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2018* I purchased these for an upcoming road trip to use with a sketch book. I just tried them before setting out. I am a little disappointed. the 3 brushes I used to not keep a fine point which Chinese brushes are know to do well. I had a more expensive set of water brushes in the past from another vendor that did keep a point. For the price they will work for the project I purchased them for.
