Review: Sorry flies, now you dies - Every year in summer, for no reason I can figure out, I get a minor infestation of house flies. I've tried, well and truly, to go the 'live and let live' route. For years, I've progressed from trying to open my windows and screens with lights off to let them out. Then I tried that, and for the ones who wouldn't leave, I got out the cordless vaccuum. This year, I did try the 'don't have to go home but you can't stay here' option, but I was just tired of it. So I got this item. The flies did kind of congregate around windows, but the windows they went to were dependent on what time of day it was. One constant was that they would consider my floor lamp a night club. So, I got this 3 pack, and put one of these over the top of my floor lamp (the floor lamp has a flat, round top over the LED lights). I will say this: Definitely use nylon/ latex gloves when installing these things. They are very easy to place, but you will spend forever trying to wash off any adhesive you get on you. After 3 days, no more house flies buzzing around. They were all stuck to this thing. Again, use gloves to remove, but they are completely effective. It's a little gross to dispose of the strip (for me, at least), but the minor gagging was a completely minor price to pay for having my house fly-free for the rest of the year. But sometimes one just won't hold the fly. I've watched flys land and just walk off. If it's only caught one or two flys after a few days, I'll replace it and the next trap works great.
