You will not be disappointed! *by D***S on August 11, 2018* This bad boy is great. The mirrors are clear and definitely glass, not Plexiglas. The light is SO bright but is also dimmable about maybe 5 or 10 levels. It is a very very cool white light, so you need to take they into consideration. You rarely see incandescent or fluorescent bulbs in this temperature, it leans blue. Don't let that stop you though! It can be countered by a warm temperature overhead light or just use foundation / powder / concealer shades you know work on your skin. I would not try, say, a new foundation without looking at the results under daylight or another warmer colored light. Once you know the color is OK? This this is A+.Cheaper by far than the identical ones on AliExpress which is a rarity. Give this a go, you won't be disappointed. It is sturdy, stays upright in even the weirdest positions, gives you a huge range of magnifications for every job. Love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You're going to have to plug this in *by K***X on July 28, 2018* I've always used a lighted makeup mirror, so I'm comparing this new mirror to the old one I have. It's the kind with lights on each side of the middle mirror and fold out mirrors (kind of like wings) on each side. The middle mirror tilts and swivels the mirror completely over where there is a magnified mirror on the other side. I've had my mirror about 15 years, it's cumbersome and only works with electricity. I was going on vacation and dreaded lugging that heavy mirror with me. So, I bought my daughter and I both one since it is battery operated, compact and light. The instructions say to choose either battery or plug in the USB, but not both so I inserted the batteries and turned it on. It will dim if you lay your finger on the ON button but don't expect it to get any brighter. Since I was not impressed with the brightness the batteries provided, I took them out and plugged the USB cord into my computer power. It got considerably brighter. This level of brightness did work for me but it still wasn't as bright as my old faithful mirror that I left at home. The size of this (new) middle mirror is just big enough to see your face. The two fold out mirrors are too narrow to be useful. The left side is magnified but that works only to see the left side of your face. I think the right side is pretty much useless because it is too small to fold in to see much on the side of your face. With my old mirror, I could use the side mirrors to check the whole side of my face on each side (and neither side was magnified). The tilt of this (new) mirror (middle) is good enough to use for putting on mascara, but will only rotate so far and it is plastic on the other side but I knew this when I bought it. The stand is sturdy enough and I haven't had to worry about it tipping over. I would probably be more satisfied with it if it was my first mirror because my daughter thinks it's awesome. My advice would be to buy a bigger one that (somehow) describes the brightness. Perhaps it's just too much to ask 4 AA batteries to put out that much power.
