Waste of money and time Review: El lente viene mal ensamblado - Viene mal ensamblado, estoy en proceso de devolución ## Features - 【Usage Instructions】This is a fully manual lens with no electronic contacts. Camera not firing when the lens on? This is normal. "No communication" is not a malfunction. When using this lens on Canon RF-mount mirrorless camera, you must shoot in Manual (M) mode and enable "Release shutter w/o Lens" in the camera menu. (This setting is required for all manual lenses.) - 【Note: Manual Focus (MF)】Please note: This is a manual focus lens (no autofocus AF/no image stabilization). You must focus by rotating the focus ring on the lens. If you do not manually focus, the image will be completely blurred (out of focus). If you are uncomfortable with manual operation, please choose an autofocus lens. - 【Versatile Portrait Lens 85mm F1.8】As a portrait lens, the 85mm focal length is ideal for shooting half-body and full-body portraits. It can also capture facial close-ups and is suitable for street photography. The large F1.8 aperture delivers excellent background blur (bokeh). The wide aperture combined with beautiful bokeh enhances the visual impact of shallow-depth-of-field images. - 【Manual Focus & Aperture Ring Adjustment】Rotate the focus ring manually to achieve focus. The aperture value cannot be set via the camera, so "F00" will be displayed. To adjust the aperture, manually rotate the aperture ring on the lens. Additionally, you must manually adjust exposure settings (shutter speed and ISO) according to the shooting environment to capture clear images; otherwise, photos may appear too dark or too white. - 【Compatible Only with Canon R Series - RF Mount】The 85mm F1.8 manual portrait lens is only compatible with Canon EOS R, Ra, RP, R3, R5, R5 C, R6, R6 Mark II, R7, R8, R10, R50, and R100 mirrorless cameras (not compatible with M-series EF-M mount mirrorless cameras & EF/EF-S mount DSLRs). ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DPFYPN2Z | | Best Sellers Rank | #80,148 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #476 in SLR Camera Lenses | | Brand | BENOISON | | Built-In Media | 85mm Prime Lens(RF mount), Lens Cloth, User Manual | | Camera Lens | 85mm F/1.8 Prime Lens Manual Focus (for Canon RF) | | Camera lens description | 85mm F/1.8 Prime Lens Manual Focus (for Canon RF) | | Compatible Camera Models | EOS R, Ra, RP, R3, R5, R5 C, EOS R6, R6 Mark II, R8, EOS R7, R10, R50, R100 | | Compatible Camera Mount | Canon RF | | Compatible Devices | for Canon EOS R, Ra, RP, R3, R5, R5 C, R6, R6 Mark II, R7, R8, R10, R50, R100 | | Compatible mountings | Canon RF | | Customer Reviews | 3.3 out of 5 stars 73 Reviews | | Exposure Control Type | Manual | | Focal Length Description | 85mm | | Focal length description | 85mm | | Focus Type | Manual Focus | | Image stabilization | no image stabilization | | Lens | Portrait | | Lens Design | Prime | | Lens Fixed Focal Length | 85 Millimeters | | Lens Mount | Canon RF | | Lens type | Portrait | | Manufacturer | BENOISON | | Manufacturer Part Number | B-85-RF | | Maximum Aperture | 1.8 f | | Maximum Focal Length | 85 Millimeters | | Maximum focal length | 85 Millimeters | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Minimum Aperture | 22 f | | Minimum Focal Length | 85 Millimeters | | Model Name | B-85 | | Model Number | B-85 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Photo Filter Size | 55 Millimeters | | Real Angle Of View | 5 Degrees | | Shooting Modes | Manual | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** BENOISON - **Camera lens description:** 85mm F/1.8 Prime Lens Manual Focus (for Canon RF) - **Compatible mountings:** Canon RF - **Focal length description:** 85mm - **Lens type:** Portrait ## Images ![85mm Lens for Canon RF 85mm f1.8 Portrait Lens Manual Focus(MF) for Canon EOS R/Ra/RP/R3/R5/R5 C/R6/R6 Mark II /R7/R8/R10/R50/R100 Mirrorless Camera (for Canon R Series) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61a6BcHfLjL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why can't I press the shutter after mounting the lens?** A: Please do Enable the "Release shutter w/o lens". after enabling "Release shutter w/o lens" and switching to M, you can press the shutter to take a picture. **Q: Why does my picture out of focus and very blurry?** A: For manual lenses, you must turn the focus ring on the front of the lens to focus. If the photo is still blurry after focusing sharply, please adjust the exposure by ISO/aperture/shutter speed. **Q: Why it show "F00"? and How to adjust the aperture value?** A: Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information. For manual lenses, the aperture value can only be adjusted with the aperture ring on the lens. **Q: How to do if the image turns out dark?** A: Decrease Shutter Speed(e.g., from 1/1000s to 1/250s) to capture more light; Increase ISO: Raise ISO sensitivity to increase the camera’s sensitivity to light; Increasing aperture through the aperture ring on the lens. **Q: How to do if the image turns out bright?** A: Decrease Shutter Speed (use a faster shutter, e.g., 1/500s instead of 1/100s) to reduce the exposure time; Lower ISO: Reduce ISO sensitivity to lower the overall exposure; Decrease aperture (increase f-number) through the aperture ring on the lens. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Wrong description *by J***L on 19 April 2025* This is not working for my Canon R50.
