Product Description The Survivor by Streamlight is an intrinsically safe, lightweight, handheld flashlight with a right-angle head designed for use in hazardous locations. This light features a reduced bezel length to minimize snag hazards and a clip for attachment to turnout gear. Its large push-button provides gloved access to microprocessor-controlled high and low-intensity modes, emergency flash, and moonlight mode. Smoke Cutter optic technology offers insertable black or amber plugs for a user-customizable beam pattern. The Survivor can either use a rechargeable NiMH battery or 4 “AA” Alkaline batteries. The following model numbers come with 4 “AA” Alkaline batteries, 90540,90541, and 90545. The following model numbers come with a NiMH rechargeable battery either with AC/DC Charging or without charger. From the Manufacturer The Streamlight Survivor LED is a lightweight, hand-held light with right angle head designed for use in hazardous locations. The light offers microprocessor controlled high and low lighting modes and emergency flash mode. It is the Brightest, Right-Angle LED Flashlight in the World. The Luxeon LED will never break or burn out, it'll never have to be replaced. This ultra-bright, 3-watt Luxeon LED has a 50,000 hour life with 65 lumens. There is no need for spare bulb. The deep-dish, parabolic beam generator creates a long-range (500 feet), focused beam, and ample side lighting for multi-use applications. It's weatherproof, microprocessor controlled, push button switch is raised to make it easy to use with gloves. The three position switch (high, low, and locator strobe) is a raised push button switch recessed in a polymer housing for protection. The Streamlight Survivor LED will run up to three hours on high beam and up to six hours on low beam. It is dual power sourced: rechargeable nickel cadmium battery pack or four AA Alkaline batteries. No tools are needed to change batteries. The Survivor LED rechargeable model fits existing Survivor charging units. Solid light. I am not a firefighter but a regular guy. I purchased this light to throw on my pack so I can be seen while rucking at night. Like the dual fuel capability and am happy I got the rechargeable model. The built in battery goes for about 3.5 hours. If I need more light I simply change out the battery to the supplied alkaline holster. I purchased eneloop pro aa and they power the light flawlessly. The only part of the process in changing batteries Is pulling the metal tab. It's a bit hard so I use the spine of my knife to get enough leverage. Overall very happy with this light. Time will tell but it seems like a quality built product. Only gripe is that Amazon sent me an opened box product on the first shipment, however, they replaced it right away with new product. I have noticed this with some items purchased at Amazon. Other than that very happy with this purchase.

dropped my light on a hard tile floor and the little led broke off the board. all i had to do is pay postage to them. they fixed and upgraded the clip and d-ring. and shipped it back. whats not to like. i used to have to buy a light every cuppla years or so. had these over 10 years and still dazzlingly bright!. waterproof and rechargeable. has a magazine for c-cells. but nevr used it. i heartily recommend.

When I first received this flashlight I was not really impressed with the output and thought that I had bought another underperforming light. I can say after using this light a few times this light has every thing I was looking for in a flashlight. This light has a nice throw and can light up an impressive area. I like the ability to keep on the charge for power outages and general needs around the house. Bought a second light to keep in my truck replacing my standby truck flashlight that I have used for years. No issues with battery or charger other than the incredibly long charge time. I found that by pushing up on the battery door you can relieve the pressure on the battery door latch and reduce the wear and effort opening the battery compartment.
