There is no printed information other than β€œDist. And sold exclusively by: Trader Joe’s, Monrovia, CA 92016” followed by β€œProduct of USA”. No mention on the package of the chance of cross contamination. **Q: What is the sugar content for each type? Some dried fruit increase sugar. ??** A: Blueberry 25g, Pineapple 23g, Strawberry 20g **Q: Do these have any pesticide residue?** A: Yes, all non organic sweet fruits will be grown with pesticides when not labeled organic. Only the organic label will ensure no pesticide. However, most store brands and generics have been found to contain pesticide even when labeled organic. So it is imperative we do not buy the 10 dirty fruits/veggies from any source other than a reputable label source. Also look for the country of origin. They are like astronaut ice cream, crunchy and desiccated, not leathery and chewy, like standard dried berries. I wanted these specifically so that I could grind them in my spice mill and add the powder to my dry ingredients for some baked good--specifically some biscotti I made for the holidays. I also added some cardamom to the recipe, which enhanced the flavor somewhat. The overall taste of the biscotti was not overwhelmingly full of blueberry flavor or color, but it paired nicely with the white chocolate coating and candied ginger bits I sprinkled on top. I purchased another pack of these to use in a recipe for French macarons--fingers crossed! It is hard to imagine snacking on these things out of the bag because of an odd (to me) combination of tartness and brittleness.
