The clamp is secure and weights (sold separately) are held in place well - you can vary where you grip on the pole to vary the resistance. Would benefit from some markers on the pole to help with long term consistency of resistance, but otherwise can’t fault it.

Simple but effective - I wouldn’t be without mine, it has been great for rehabilitation of tendon injuries. This is accurate to size, my olympic weight plates fit. The clip is strong, I find this very effective. The lower bit of the rougher for grip, however not too much that it would effect you doing full rotations and wrip your skin.
