It is quiet and blows strong cold air. It cools our entire second floor in 20 mins to the set temperature no matter how hot it is. For those reviews regarding the screws they are not the wrong size you screw them from inside the frames not outside like typical. Our shop is a 4 door, with 16ft high ceilings, so it is a lot of space to cool. We installed this when it had been in the 90's and the air temp of the shop was 78 when we turned it on. We did have to buy a 30 amp 250 volt cord from Home Depot for $70 in order to plug into where our air compressor was because I didn't realize that it was not a 110 cord. Within 1 day the shop had cooled to 66 degrees, so now my husband can work in his nice cool shop.
