Might be good for kids gym bag. Wouldn't make for a good book bag unless kids don't carry books anymore. I bought it for a small gym bag but it was too small for that. I just wanted to put my towel, water bottle and other small items in it. It felt like everything was cramped in the bag. Also it's one shoulder sling and it's the left shoulder. Not interchangeable. I am to remote and busy to make it worth while so not sellers fault. I fit 4 cell phones, 3 wallets, car keys and of course those priceless "speed passes". Everything worked out perfectly for me and my family. Granted my kids are older in their late teens. If your going to buy this as a hold everything bag...way too small. To fit snacks, drinks etc it will not work. To fit jus the basic items that you need for the day it works perfectly.I got more compliments from people about it just standing in line. It was comfortable, light and easy to gain access if I needed too. The "cell phone" compartment was great to hold those "speed passes" easy to show and put right back for safe keeping. I did put a regular water bottle in the holder with no problem.
