I use these extensively for therapeutic taping (kinesio, leuko) and the fluoride coating prevents the adhesive from sticking to my scissors. Because the blades are slanted and have blunted tips, it protects the patient. For my application, a longer blade would have been a little more efficient but I knew the size when I bought it.
