They seem to lock together well. Plastic is thinner in spots, similar to a weak spot.Overall construction seems fine.However they come with no instruction. Super easy to travel with, even in a small vehicle, since they come in pieces. We’ve had a great time making a huge one, twisting them to make a wobbly hoop and just wiggling around with them. Even though they aren’t weighted (they are hollow, no sand) they are wonderful and seemingly durable since we’ve had them for about a month and no problems yet.
