They give an amazing glow and using the remote you can have them flicker like candlelight, and in the right candle holders, they look amazing and very much the real thing. One thing to note and mentioned by someone else is that the charging unit does use a 2 pin plug, I tried a shaver adaptor but that did not work. Luckily I was able to find on my cupboard an old 12v UK adaptor that works just fine. Review: Great, when they work! - Very expensive, considering the short duration they are functional. Only used them sometimes during Winter. On the dining website, they are shown being used in open lanterns and candle holders on restaurant and cafe tables in place of real candles. And I the description it makes a point of saying they are weatherproof etc. I haven’t as yet used them outside but I will do when the days get longer and the weather a bit warmer. **Q: Are they rated for 110 v, or just 220 v** A: The charger that came with the lights is rated 100-240v, but bear in mind it’s a 2pin plug **Q: Is it a realistic candle colour yellow light and or white? Also can you set to flicker?** A: Personally I think they are the best alternative to real candle you are likely to find as they are veryrealistic viewed through obscure candle holder. I first saw them used inside obscure storm glass on restaurant table at Banff Springs Hotel in Scotland and liked them so much I did a search to find where I could buy some for home. They are realistic because can be set to flicker, off white/pale yellow colour. Battery charge lasts a few evenings of use. Must use a European plug converter for the charger.
