I have tried my husbands other bait-casting reels and every time it ends up with a nasty birds nest, which then requires him to fix the reel. This was a birthday present from him two weeks ago and I must say that this reel is AMAZING! It throws so smooth and it is comfortable in a females hand with very smooth action. We went fishing this past weekend and after getting the settings just right I was able to fish and enjoy it without making a major mess out of my line. It will still have small bird nests if you do not gently place your thumb on the fishing string before the lure hits the water but not like other reels. I highly recommend this reel to anyone wanting a bait-caster.
