I don’t know why I was surprised that it was elastic with a fabric covering, but I was. That being said, very effective for those of all types of flexibility. I use it for a pole class, and when I need it to be a bit more opening, I wrap it around the pole and then hook it to my feet. I really enjoyed this purchase- my only complaint is that it could be a little bit more tight? So like it could be a higher resilience and your legs open more? I've used this band during my stretch routine for a week now, and it's done great! I'm able to get a pull that I normally wouldn't just by using my hands, and there isn't any wear and tear (discoloration/tearing of elastic) that I can see on the band; and I've been pretty brutal with it at times!It comes with a little card telling you how to take care of it so that you get the most out of the product, warning that it can be weakened if stored in the sun, but that's common for most elastics. The material also hasn't given me a rash, and I'm sensitive to latex. Maybe the product won't be so good after a bit, but for right now, I've paid the right price for the right product.
