I also wanted something that allowed me to work at a lower level instead of kneeling or bending over to clean lower cabinets. I have had one hip replacement and two knee replacements and would rather do things myself before asking for help. The bench/kneeler is great! I was laying some floor tile and it was great to sit on and then kneel on. I used the sides to stand up with no trouble. The unit was sturdy and I had no trouble.
