Is there a way to vent throught the wall?** A: Dear Deborah,It is really hard to say that if it can be vent through the wall, but it is designed to work with windows so you can install the ventilation kit. **Q: does vent stay in window when using heat mode and what of draining issues , do i have to drain my self** A: You would not need to vent the unit during heat mode as the compressor won't be running, just the fan and heating coils. Other than that, the room feels just as if there is no ac. I put it in a 400 square foot insulated room with low ceilings and it is barely noticeable. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it cooled my 12x15 bedroom by about 10 degrees when the central air was out. Even though it took all night to reach that, it still slightly cooled the room nonetheless.
