I wasn't overwhelmed .. I smell just fine but it wasn't dark roasted .. It was a medium dark and it had no oils on the beans .. I know why many coffee makers don't leave the oil on the bean .. The oils rancify quickly and the powerful zest leaves the coffee especially if it sits in a warehouse for any length of time .. This is true only IF the coffee maker doesn't use dry nitrogen to pure the coffee bags before sealing .. The coffee was above average (not saying much there) but not up to my standards .. I may have to buy an old air popcorn popper and inject a small amount of steam so will have the freshest coffee ..
