This sleeping pad was expensive but I thought it would be worth it. I received it the day of my overnight camping trip in my SUV. I inflated it with the schnoozle bag and was very impressed. That bag is amazing! I laid down on the mat and tested to see if I could comfortably sleep on my side. I weigh 240 and I only sleep on my sides. It felt really good.I drove 2 hours to my destination and by the time I arrived, much of the air had left the pad. I assumed I did not seal the inflation valve well and re-inflated the pad, double checking both plugs. Within 1/2 hour of laying on it, I knew there was a leak somewhere. I was super disappointed to have no protection from the hard surface on the back of my rear seats. I had to sleep in my front seat.I had hopes that this was well made and it appeared that it was but this item is clearly defective. Works great, everything and all aspects.have not hauled it in a backpack yet, maybe this winter. I can pack it in my ruck and it is heavier than my normal mat (another Exped) so am curious if the humping it vs. comfortable sleep ratio works out. Large enough for my big body, insulates really well. Easy to fill up with the cool bag thingy. I like the soft feel of the top. I've owned just about every large mattress made in the last 10 years. This is my final purchase...I use it for motorcycle camping, and it's almost perfect.
