I had tried Fendrihan shaving soap about a year ago and liked the quality of the lather. The shaving creams from Fendrihan seem to be a recent addition, at least through Amazon. I like Bay Rum scent, but had not found one that I liked as much as the old Burt's Bees shaving soap of years ago. So I tried this one from Fendrihan.The container of shaving cream that I received was semi-solid and not very creamy. It took some experimenting to get enough soap/cream on the brush. Once I got the proportions of soap and water right, the lather was thick and smooth and not too sticky. There was no burn or stinging during or afterwards. I shave daily, but the container seems as though it will last a long time. So it is economical.The scent is pleasant enough. It is a light Bay Rum scent and has a floral hint. The scent fades away fairly quickly.Overall, I am pleased with the shaving cream. I've had it for months and at this rate of use, the tub will last a VERY long time.As always, pre-soak your brush in hot water, shake it out, and load just the tips of the bristles with the cream, then whisk in a shaving bowl. No more water is needed, just what is on the brush. Lather is well-bodied and the bay rum scent is pleasant and not too strong.I found its lubricity (yes, it's a thing) is very good: better than good, but not great. (Proraso is a bit better in my experience.) I have a variety of razors I have used with the Fendrihan: from a Gillette Sensor to a safety razor to a straight razor and it works well with all.The Fendrihan rinses off very cleanly (Proraso does too).5 stars reduced to 4 for the lubricant properties.
