Once I got my Waterman, I decided to splurge on a little extra EDC (every day carry, heh) pen. The first under $20 pen I purchased was a that worked so poorly that the company has offered to send me a new one, so I was hesitant to try again. But, just as I was looking at the Dryden, a lightning deal came up so it was only $20, so I pulled the trigger on it. I'm so glad I did! Right out of the box, the ink flow was easy, even, and a perfect medium. (well, as close to perfect that I could tell without getting out my calipers.) Body is pleasantly heavy, and the color of the blue! Wow! Very shiny and luscious. The body shape is a nice taper, and not one of those super-fat bodies that are a bit uncomfortable (for me) to work with. The section housing the nib is metal as well, so no worries about it cracking. The lid snaps on. ink flow is a little "wet" at times, usually when I am writing slowly, but there are no stutters or uneven starts/finishes, and you don't have to find the "sweet spot" on the nib to get a good ink flow, like some I have had. All in all, this is a satisfying and pretty pen, that i can take to work and not be too fuzzed up if it "walks away" with someone. Writes pretty well, but I guess I was expecting more functionality as an actual fountain pen, like being able to have different line weights when writing.
