Review: Good value for the money - Update: I've had this camera as deep as 75' now and no leakage at all in the housing. That said, the video quality is similar to iPhone 3 or iPhone 4. But for $25, it's already paid for itself in capturing memories. My daughter recently completed her scuba certification and so I wanted a cheap underwater camera to document our first official dives. I figured that for $25 this camera was worth a chance. First off, the watertight case is impressive. (Actually, more impressive than the camera!) It took me a bit to figure out how to open the case and there are a few plastic sheet protectors that need to be removed. For the housing lens protector plastic I had to unscrew the decorative black cowling which I thought was odd. Our dives were only to about 20' but there was no leakage at all. (We will be doing deeper dives in a couple weeks and if there are problems I will update this post.) Charging the phone worked fine and the battery lasted for 3 dives without needing to be recharged. The water was murky but the photos were acceptable despite that. One thing I noticed is that with bright sunlight, the image quality improved significantly. The pics I posted are screen caps from the video we shot. The overall video quality reminded me of my old iPhone 3S. It was fairly easy to switch between photo and video mode and turn the camera on/off to conserve battery power. I will say that you need to really firmly depress the shutter button to activate and was the only minor drawback I found. Lastly, to get good pics and video, you need to be conscious of holding the camera steady and pan slowly. I give it 5 stars because for the price it is an excellent value for an entry-level uw camera for kid and family fun.

This is a fixed lens, so you won't be able to get cinematic quality and I doubt your photos will make it on the walls of the MoMA! This is a great beginners action cam. It's easy to use, and comes with a lot of accessories. I have a 2nd gen GoPro, and the accessories for it costed more than this entire bundle. It's fairly durable, too. I dropped it on the floor when I opened the package, and it worked fine. Luckily the camera ships already inside of the waterproof case.

A: It records audio however in the case the audio is extremely hard to hear.

**Q: Every time I put my my memory card it turns off. What’s wrong?**
A: What I will do is insert back into the camera when is off and then turn it on. If still is off might be because of the settings that you have to turn off the display. So check your settings,

**Q: Can you transfor it to facebook.**
A: Yes, you can transfer the video to Facebook by removing the SD card in the Vemont camera, insert the SD card into a SD card adapter, transfer the video to your laptop or pc and copy to Facebook picture/video folder.

**Q: I asked a question and the company said it provides detailed instructions which is not true. How do i contact the company?**

Update: I've had this camera as deep as 75' now and no leakage at all in the housing. That said, the video quality is similar to iPhone 3 or iPhone 4. But for $25, it's already paid for itself in capturing memories. My daughter recently completed her scuba certification and so I wanted a cheap underwater camera to document our first official dives. I figured that for $25 this camera was worth a chance. First off, the watertight case is impressive. (Actually, more impressive than the camera!) It took me a bit to figure out how to open the case and there are a few plastic sheet protectors that need to be removed. This is a decent camcorder for it's price. You can't really expecting a Gopro quality at such low price. It is not possible. Not even for the parts. But it is way better compare to the similar priced, key-chain types of cameras. Although not 1080p, it still produces good quality pictures and working videos. Comes with a water prove case that works (I have bought single use water prove camera at Raging Water in California for $50 and it fails on the same day.) With many choices of mounting gears. If you want a production level camcorder. Be careful and steer away from this. Look for something with a minimum of $100 to $200 price range. But if you are like me, just need some mounting camcorder to record memories for personal use. You can't go wrong with this purchase. *deducted 1 star for 1080p. Photos may be 1080 but I can't seem to get the video at 1080. It's kind of misleading. Please correct me if there is a way to adjust.
