I just finished this series and I loved it. For anyone wondering which order to read the books in, you read them in the order they were released. Wool, Shift then Dust. Wool starts out good and keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. Shift, the second book is a prequel to Wool but it does catch up to and end where Wool starts but I wouldn't recommend reading Shift before Wool because it's fun to read Shift and know what it is leading up to. However Shift does start out slow and somewhat boring at times but it does get better. For the final book, Dust. It connects you back with where you left off from Wool and combines the people and events from the first two books in a brilliant and memorable way and has an exciting ending. Hugh Howey is an amazing writer and his ability to connect events and give purpose to decisions that the characters make is remarkable.
