Review: I wish I had known the vocabulary is British, not American. - I bought these for my five-year-old grandson because he loves the ones that we had borrowed from the library. However, these books must have been written in the United Kingdom. The vocabulary and the word choices are different from what we would choose. For example, diapers are nappies, the trash truck is the Dust bin, treat time at a birthday party is referred to as tea, mail is the post. There are many other examples and I find it disconcerting when I'm reading to him because I have to change the words, or stop to explain to him, so he knows what we're talking about. I've checked all the sales literature, but there's no indication as to the fact that these books use an entirely different vocabulary from what our children are used to in the United States. The stories, however, really hold our little boy's attention and he loves them.

### ⭐⭐⭐ I wish I had known the vocabulary is British, not American.

I bought these for my five-year-old grandson because he loves the ones that we had borrowed from the library. However, these books must have been written in the United Kingdom.
