These are not heavy duty enough. The ribbon is very thin and I'm sure will not hold up to UV. I leave these in my car over the rear view mirror. The hardware is cheap and flimsy too. I compared these to an issued id badge lanyard from an organization that I belong to and the difference is night and day. Fabric on issued badge is like nylon web gear. The fabric here is like package wrapping ribbon. The badge holders that the lanyards came with are very nice however and better quality than another badge holder I was just issued.
