**Q: Is there a magical way to make it operate as just the "home button"?  i know that the touch id will not work, but it states that it will switch apps??**
A: I do not believe there is a MAGICAL way to make it operate. I bought this piece to work and it did not work at all.

**Q: Ok so it will work as a home button just not read my finger print for iPhone 8plus?**
A: No it does no work. It is a filler. Fake home button

I wish there were an option that allowed me to give it 0 stars, waited impatiently for this button to arrive to get my phone back working and of course the button does not work. No point in going through the trouble to return it considering it was inexpensive but it’s not the price I’m worried about it’s amazons business to sell items that simply don’t work & don’t follow up with the description they have given the item.
