Depends how high the scope is mounted. I would try to find a tie on pad rather than drill holes in your stock. That would kill resale value. **Q: So this is a solid aluminum cheek riser, is that correct? And is it one size fits all or do i give you the thickness of my stock?** A: It's definitely not Kydex. China doesn't have Kydex material... Kydex is Made in the USA (Trademarked) & shipping Kydex to China would be extremely expensive. It's probably just cheap abs or pvc plastic that will deform in the sun & degrade over time. It's a knock-off, you get what you pay for **Q: what does this piece of junk chinese knock-off actually look like?** A: Looks like what it should and works perfectly well on my rifles. I have several of these. **Q: What is the riser made of? The text says it is "Genuine Material" which means absolutely nothing!** A: It's just Kydex. Adjustability is very important if you ever change scopes, mounts etc. if you want to use iron sights you can just drop it down unlike a lot of other cheekrests. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For its price, this is a great riser. *by T***K on 27 June 2024* Mounted on a Ruger American 7.62x39 Bolts were a bit long, however I’d rather have too much material than not enough. With a dremel and cutting wheel, this will be just fine. Despite not coming with instructions, it’s fairly straight forward. Put cheek riser on, mark with sharpie, take cheek riser off, test drill with smaller bore drill bit, then use a larger bit that matches the bolts. From there clean it up and mount. I don’t mind having to trim the bolts. I realize that may be an issue for some.. but it saves a trip to the hardware store and will take me all of 5 minutes. Bolts were not rusted, they can also be painted if need be to prevent rust. All in all, for its competitive price (compared to others), this cheek riser works perfectly. Once locked down, it was snug and did not move.
