The Jero Butcher line was designed for the traditional butcher that prefers the feel of wood, and desires the more traditional looking knife. With the Jero Butcher line, you get the traditional wood look, with the modern performance of German stainless steel. 

Jero Butcher knives us the same steel as many of the well-known and popular German knife manufacturers. Unlike many knives coming to the US, Jero knives are produced in Portugal, not Asia, and blades are produced using the standard European thickness - other knife companies have gone to cheaper steel that is thinner and flexible. You don't get that with Jero. You get a commercial knife built to withstand abuse and provide long-lasting service.
