In the summer when it’s hot and panels are dirty you may only get 60-70% out of the panels. Also in the winter when sun angle is low or cloudy you will get more power. If your solar panel do produce more such as on a brilliant spring day after a rain storm, the inverter will be limited to 6000 watts out. But what you miss out on those days, you’ll make up on the majority of less idea solar days, that’s the concept. I did not read much about it on Amazon but did my own research online. I have been running a Kaco 2500 watt inverter uneventfully for over 3 years and wanted a larger inverter. Kaco has become pretty much unresponsive to individual users so I began to shop around. They have done well since I started my solar hobby. As with my Kaco it was pretty much plug and play except for the online monitoring which I am not a fan of anyway. You mount a hanger, hang the inverter, connect your panels, connect your grid power, turn it on, set your type of grid power, the date and time and watch it run. This inverter has 2 MPPTs that are selectable so the system can be split. One side can be operated independent of the other so one MPPT can be disabled while the other is in full operation. That is useful if there is a problem involving one half of your system or it allows you to upgraded your system gradually. Customer service has been great and easily reached. Glad I made the purchaseAddendum to my review 5 months later:I bought this inverter last Oct and connected 5KW of panel to it. On full sunny days Im making over 30KW/day. Today was 31.518 KW with 5KW of panel in northern Arkansas. Just need to add another 1K. That will be 6K which is what the inverter is designed for. I was skeptical about going to an all digital inverter but it is maxing out at about 93% efficient at mid day.
