But it's not going to last you.The main bowl is made of polystyrene and within a couple months the central axle that is molded into the plastic broke off. You better notice when this happens too, because there were small sharp shards of brittle plastic in what I was mixing, so I had to chuck it. I thought about gluing it but it was just going to crack in more places the more I used it.Small capacity too, have to do several runs just to do one good-sized onion or tomato. Gets messy too and doesn't clean the best, food can get into the rip-cord mechanism, which also felt like it would break someday. I don't mind ripping my blender by hand, but for a lot of folks this is going to get old fast.Absolutely cannot be used to whip things or do dough, the whole mechanism is too slow. You can do a small fruit salad with this if you put in the extra work, that's about it. And then it will break. I chop onions often but hate to do too many at a time as they get kind of brassy tasting. This works well so I can do them as needed. I chop a lot of dill pickles or sweet pickles as well and works great for that. I haven't tried celery or nuts yet but it seems to me that it should work fine. Very easy to rinse off and stick it in the drainer. I hope the string holds up... I was Faro's it would ignite the carpal, but I guess twisting only does that. Very easy to clean as well. This is a gem for those quick chopping jobs.
