## Description

Product description

Review: Rechargeable battery that outputs a full, real, 1.5 volts, unlike NiCd & NiMH which output 1.2 volts - These 1.5volt liion cells are great. They give you all of the advantages of an AA cell with very few of the detriments. They put out a real 1.5 volts compared to AA NiCd and NiMH which only put out 1.2 volts. Due to the design of these batteries, they will put out that 1.5 volts continuously until depleted. The NiCd, NiMH and standard primary all start off at one voltage and continuously give out less and less voltage until dead. These start at 1.5 volts and stay there until depleted. Some equipment wont even run on NiCd nor NiMH due to the 1.2 volts max, as they need a rewal 1.5 volts. Also, in comparison to a standard primary (non-rechargeable) AA battery, these Liion batteries will never leak so there's no worry about ruining expensive equipment. The only downside to these batteries is that they don't last as long as a real primary battery in extreme cold and heat. They will run out sooner in temp extremes. But, if/when they do, just pop in a fully charged battery and you are good to go. The only other downside to this relatively new technology is that these types of batteries all need their proprietary charger (at the moment). You cannot charge these in a regular NiCd, NiMH, nor LiIon battery charger, as the charger will not understand the technology at play. These are actually 3.7 volt lithium Ion batteries with a circuit board atop each one that brings the voltage down to a steady 1.5 volts. 99% of the chargers out there won't understand this, hence why they typically come with their own charger. Give it a few years and generic chargers will probably be able to handle this type of cell. I ordered the 2-pack and charger, and have a 4-pack on the way too.
Review: Tested pretty well. - My tests are complete. The performance of these batteries only looks bad when compared to the product details, not when compared to other batteries. Pros: They charge fast, in less than 3.5 hours. (I never timed these against the 2.5 hour claim, but I know it's less than 3.5) They deliver a constant voltage. Capacity is about the same as standard alkaline battery—but can be recharged. Cons: Not for use in devices that depend on low voltage to warn about low battery. They do not contain enough power to be labeled as 3600mWh. The tests: Constant Current capacity test (CC), Portable CD player and my contraption. CC, drain the battery to measure the capacity. My tester is calibrated to be reasonably accurate. 400mA, cutoff at 0.8V. SinceHoly 3600mWh was able to deliver 2279mAh or 3400mWh and drained in 05:42:18. Similar 3600mWh was able to deliver 2229mAh or 3312mWh and drained in 05:34:33. NiMH 2800mAh was able to deliver 2515mAh or 3096mWh and drained in 06:17:27. Looking at the results compared to the NiMH, these didn't last as long, but delivered more voltage in the run time, resulting in more mWh. Portable CD Player, made around the year 2006. Full volume, Repeat full CD. SinceHoly 3600mWh played for 44:39:42. Similar 3600mWh played for 44:32:13. NiMH 2800mAh played for 43:53:40. Standard Alkaline played for 44:39:30. There you have it. On this low power draw device they all come out similar. My contraption, basically a motor geared to a counter. Run until the motor stops. SinceHoly 3600mWh got 10044 and ran for 75:30:35. Similar 3600mWh got 10071 and ran for 74:25:12. NiMH 2800mAh got 10376 and ran for 93:59:18. Standard Alkaline got 11257 and ran for 106:24:16. These are able to make more turns in less time because of the constant voltage. The Standard alkaline got the most points, but also it was running below 0.8 volts for like 3 days. I will not test the recharge cycle amount claims. I'm sure it's many cycles. I have some graphs to try and show the way that the voltage acts compared to NiMH and alkaline in the CC test. The alkaline I used for the graph is not a top brand. Conclusion: These are really good batteries and well worth the cost. I was never able to get close enough to 3600mWh out of them, but not for lack of trying. I'm taking one star off because it would not have been hard for them to label/advertise these as 3400mWh. Feel free to ask for more comparisons and such in the questions.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice USB-C lithium charger with batteries
*by G***T on March 12, 2025*

I have been using NiMH rechargeable batteries for a long time and recently came across these. They caught my eye because I have a trimmer that came with a lithium battery in it and that thing has been working for years. I like the NiMH rechargeables but they take a long time to charge and seem to lose a bit of their charge over time even when not in use. This is a nice combination of a slim charger that can use any USB-C input along with two AA batteries. It seems to be built well and time will tell how long the batteries last. I've seen other reviews mentioning that they may not have the current to power high draw devices but I haven't tried that yet. Another issue I have seen mentioned in general is that lithium rechargeable systems may not work with rechargeable batteries from another manufacturer, but I have also not experienced this. At the time I purchase these I only saw the two-pack available, if I had the chance I would have picked the charger combo with more batteries. I may get more if these work as well as they seem like they will. They charged fairly quickly using my 45W fast charger so we will see.
