I refuse to start T, since it shuts off your body's natural production. So I'm doing whatever I can to balance my hormones without shutting my internal factory down. I feel like a big part of my issue is that my adrenals are overtaxed. So I want to spark my natural T production through cortisol management, but also manage my stress levels and balance T/estrogen. So the ashwagandha helps with stress, which lowers cortisol, while the pregnenolone also helps lower cortisol. Then you have the additional DHEA, and then the pregnenolone also helps stimulate additional DHEA production. I already take 5,000U of D3 a day, so now I don't have to take it separately. And the DIM hopefully helps to balance my T and my E, minimizing the 16-alpha-hydroxyestrone that causes fat retention.So I can tell you what I've experienced since I started taking this in the past 2 months. I'm sleeping better. I can't attribute it all to this, since I've also improved my sleep hygiene and exercise. But I do think this is helping. I do feel less stressed during the day, and I'm not needing as much caffeine. Which is two-fold, because caffeine gets me anxious. And finally, for the first time in I can't remember how long, I woke up with morning wood the other morning. And like, it wasn't mild. It was, like, noticeable! Like I woke up and right away I was like, WHOA, YEAH...I remember that. And truly, it's been maybe 3-4 years since that has happened spontaneously like that.I'm also working out, eating better, sleep hygiene, no alcohol, etc. So I know my lifestyle adjustments have contributed to a lot of the benefit I'm seeing. But I DO feel that this is helping.I admit, they kind of taste yucky. I mean, it's not bad enough to stop taking them. They're tolerable, but not good. I take mine at night, feeling I'll get the most benefit from the stress effect, the cortisol, enhanced sleep, and T production - since you make most of your T while you sleep, since that's when your body is making most of its cholesterol, and your body makes T from cholesterol.
