## Description

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is a 27-inch, 240Hz 4K gaming monitor that boasts the latest fourth-generation QD-OLED technology to deliver supersharp visuals and crisp text. The cutting-edge QD-OLED panel offers greater longevity compared to previous OLED technologies and minimal flicker―even when frame rates fluctuate. With the addition of the Neo Proximity Sensor in the new ROG OLED Care Pro suite, the monitor transitions to a black screen when no user is detected, guarding against burn-in. Built-in DisplayPort™ 2.1a UHBR20 provides a full 80Gbps bandwidth to support uncompressed 4K visuals at a stunning 240Hz to elevate viewing experiences to the next level.

Review: Great, but not perfect. - No flickering. 240hz, displayport 2.1 (uncompressed), Dolby Vision, KVM switch, and 1/4" tripod/screw for camera mounting makes this monitor a beast. You can hook a Xbox and Two PCs and switch between them with one mouse and keyboard flawlessly (and switch between speakers automatically too, if you use the monitor's 3.5mm jack). The only downside of this monitor is that it uses a Triangular QD-OLED subpixel layout since it's newer technology (versus traditional RGB stripe like some cheaper 4K monitors and IPS monitors), so fonts in Windows don't appear as clear in as they would on other 4K monitors (like the Strix XG27UCS). However, this is only for windows fonts and not game fonts, so text in games will still be crisp. It's a very small downside (and one you may not even notice if I didn't say this) but some people care about this. The other downside is that it doesn't have built-in speakers, which actually matters a lot to me. For $5 they could've added a single mono speaker and they would've been enough for me (I like having it as a backup or in cases where i don't want to lug speakers around, or in case I ever want to mount it in a wall -- who wants to attach separate speakers for a wall-mounted display?? Nobody, and all cheaper models of Asus monitors even have speakers). If you want the best monitor for the money, though, go with with bad boy. The extra money is well spent. I had the Strix XG27UCS before this, so I already had 4K, but this is a huge upgrade other than the font thing. I wish they also made the ports on the side instead of pointing down, but you can fix this problem with some shirt extension cables I guess, maybe (idk if they make DSP80 extensions that don't hinder anything, but I'll look). I'm also having a problem with windows not being able to turn HDR on (even in games), but I'm 99% sure it's some software error I'm having, since it was working before and only stopped working after windows detected this monitor as two monitors, but I wanted to note this anyway. It's a great monitor though. Only thing I don't care for is the light on the bottom (would've rather had speakers than that light). The lights on the back are pretty neat, but again, I'd rather have speakers or smoother fonts. Biggest thing by far is the built in KVM switch. I've used KVM switches before but I never had one built into the monitor like this -- wicked cool and useful. The menu isn't very intuitive, but you'll figure it out. Most menus are worse. Just don't get annoyed and break the button or something, before you learn it.
Review: Possibly the best monitor out there (and that I've had) - After hours of research and looking at reviews and product sites, I decided to settle on this monitor. My criteria included an OLED monitor that was 4k, a decently high refresh rate (at least 120hz), and has a great color gamut for photo editing and media viewing. This monitor took the cake for all of those aspects. I wasn't too sure about the size of the monitor, but it's actually pretty nice to have a larger screen that's 4k to have those small details. It's quite expensive, but if you're willing to fork out the money, I'd say this is the best monitor you can buy for that money. It's quality feels great, it took a little time for me to look through the settings to decide how I wanted it set up, but once you get that dialed in, it's great! Just make sure you have the pixel shift on and the proximity sensor is actually pretty nice for when you're away—it works as intended. One more thing, if you're worried at all about the brightness of the monitor, DONT BE! I also had that concern when I was looking around, and when I finally received it, I was actually stunned. I am literally running them at 20% brightness in my decently-lit room because I feel like I have the sun in front of me otherwise. Side note: I used RTings.com to help in my research, and this turned out to be their top monitor, and I can definitely see why!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Quality Gaming Monitor
*by S***M on August 26, 2026*

⭐Overall Rating: [4.5/5] Main Use: Gaming, Everyday PC Use & Media Picture Quality: 5/5 Color depth and correction is best in-class. Scenes feel real and immersive while allowing users to fully experience the content that is displayed at it's full potential. Paired with the correct HDR settings, this monitor flexes its strengths including deep blacks and a wide color gamut. Desktop and text sharpness are also great. Gaming: 4.5/5 I recently have been utilizing this monitor at 120Hz refresh rate instead of it's full 240Hz potential for a possible user error issue. When used alongside my second monitor (XG27UCG) that also runs at 240Hz, minor visual flickering/graphical errors arise. Otherwise, running both at 120Hz seems to fix the issue for general desktop use, but visual issue rarely arise while gaming at high frame rates at 240Hz. Build Quality: 5/5 I love the material feel of the back plate & slim style build of the PG27UCDM. It gives off a visually modern, professional and high end feeling. Any Issues: Minimal issues. Minor flickering in some games w/ VRR enabled, like Silent Hill 2, where the fog seems to flicker and shimmer w/ VRR enabled, but does not when VRR is enabled. Even when the setting is disabled, I can't even tell the difference of advantage that VRR would add while simultaneously removing the shimmering issue. Value for the price: 4/5 Fair. $1000 is a lot of money for anyone to drop on a monitor, but if the money is available for you in your budget for a monitor in this price range, I would recommend the PG27UCDM over any competitor. Would I Recommend It?: 100% Yes. The PG27UCDM is a standout monitor for me. Coming from another ASUS ROG 1440p 240Hz monitor, the PG27UCDM blows any monitor I have ever owned out of the water.
