I set them up today and also set clean glue traps. Context: Where I live in Maryland we get a lot of spider crickets as well as mice from the woods. I use round DCon traps w PB for mice, glue traps by Catch Master for bugs and mice. I clean around the perimeter of my townhouse. I use bleach on the back patio and around the doors and windows. I plugged all the holes I could see on the outside. It’s just a chronic problem that requires regular preventive measures. I’ve tried fogging the basement twice. I believe with mymulti tiered approach I keep the issues under control. My problem right now is that I hear the devices and they’re driving ME away. I’m not supposed to be able to hear the devices, so that’s a drawback. However, if I see far fewer bugs in the glue traps over the next two weeks, that will be proof the devices had some impact. I’ll let you know and will update my review. BTW: Had no problem setting up. Plugged in, pushed the button to turn light on, and they started charging. I wonder if all the posters who said they didn’t work actually pushed the button.Update 1 (same day as installation): I set some of the devices on yellow for the bugs, and I set some on red for the mice. Finally had to change all that were red—the noise drove all of us nuts. When I go to bed I might set some back to red for the supposed mice prevention. But these were not supposed to be audibly detectable by humans or dogs.UPDATE REVIEW 1: So far, the devices appear to be making a marked difference. I have several devices installed throughout my lower level. Most are set for bugs, one in the laundry room is set for mice, and I manually reset one of them that’s in the family room to mice when no one is there. (The red light setting for mice makes a very annoying sound that all of us can hear.) At this point, I only caught two spider crickets in two different glue traps, and that was the very first day. I have around 16 glue traps set up. I was hopeful, but skeptical, when I bought these. Still an experiment. I was going to wait a full 2 weeks before updating, but I got excited that I see very few spider crickets. Not sure about mice—no rhyme or reason as to when I sometimes catch one—but I’ll bet that noise is annoying to any who come close. ### ⭐ 9 of 12 DOA. *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2018* I just moved into a new home with a bit of a pest problem and wanted to use ultrasonic repellers to clear the area. I ordered two packs of six hoping to cover the upstairs and downstairs areas, only to be greeted with 9 non-working units.I tested all on the same outlet and only 3 showed signs of life, so obviously a return was immediately filed.Here's a one star review for wasting my time. ### ⭐ Doesn’t even turn on! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2018* I would give these a zero star if I could as they don’t work. Plugged them in...no light on all 6. They are supposed to change to either re or green when you press the button by they don’t even light up.
