At first I left it steep too long but even when I steep as recommended, it still has an awful bitter taste. My husband is trying to increase his platelet count. Only after a few days (once a day), we did see an increase. He's going to go two cups a day and see if that works better. He has blood work weekly so we should be able to see a trend after a few weeks. (Note: after a few days counts went from 50K to 54K.). Will update again after another week. Update: Week 2: After a full week (once a day), counts increased from 54K to 66K. This week we are trying twice a day. Update: Week 4-5: Count went from 54K to 66K to 75K to now at 90K. This tea continues to work well. My husband has found a way to sweeten it to his liking.
