It may be a plastic bump helmet but all the attachements are a bonus and the money is in the padding. This sits rock solid on your head and allows for mounting lights, night vision, etc. If you are just looking for a bump/saftety hard hat but need to add devices to it, cave exploreing, kayaking, biking etc this is perfect. The biggest differences between the two rail systems besides the configuration is that the Rail 3.0 system includes an integrated Picatinny rail and quick release slot built directly into the rail. In addition, the Rail 2.0 system is not compatible with the Team Wendy EXFIL Ballistic Visor or EXFIL Face Shield (not currently sold on Amazon). The CAM FIT retention system that we sell as an aftermarket chin-strap is designed to fit non-Team Wendy ballistic helmets with pre-drilled 4-point retention mounting holes in the shell.
